The High Water situation on the Rhine continues to improve today, water levels are decreasing almost everywhere.
Our offices for Contargo Waterway Logistics B.V., Contargo Road Logistics B.V., Contargo Network Service B.V., Contargo Transbox Netherlands B.V. and Contargo GmbH & Co. KG have moved from Zwijndrecht to Capelle aan de IJssel.
The High Water situation on the Rhine is now becoming less acute. The water level is going down at most of the gauges; only on the Upper Rhine are levels still rising slightly.
At present, average waiting times for the handling of our barges in the seaports are:
Antwerp: 35 hours
Rotterdam: 27 hours
On the Upper Rhine, the water level at the Maxau Gauge peaked on Sunday afternoon at 8.29 m, one of the highest levels in 5 years. On Tuesday, the Worms Gauge on the Upper Rhine is expected to reach levels approximating to a 10-year high.
