The Port of Antwerp Bruges has announced that work on cleaning up the oil spill at the Deurganckdok is taking longer than expected. For this reason, until further notice only a few barges will be admitted and handled.

At present, average waiting times for the handling of our barges in the seaports are:
Antwerp: 62 hours
Rotterdam: 50 hours
On the Upper Rhine, the level at the Maxau Gauge will begin to rise again this afternoon. At the other gauges on the Upper Rhine, levels will fall or stay the same until Tuesday evening.
