Due to increasing transport volumes and strong customer demand, VEGA Logistic has further expanded its intermodal automotive logistics services between Wörth am Rhein and Fernetti (near Trieste) in September. The Wörth–Fernetti service has been increased to three weekly round trips.
Since September 1, 2025, Contargo has counted 25 container terminals within its own network. On September 30, the bimodal site was officially inaugurated in the presence of representatives from politics and business.
On September 24, Rhenus and Contargo celebrated the christening of the innovative hybrid coupled convoy Mannheim I+II in Duisburg together with numerous guests. On this occasion, they presented the first vessel of a new series featuring pioneering propulsion technology for the Rhine.
On 26 September, the PFS – Poland France Shuttle will set off on its first journey from Krzewie to Dourges. Together with the Duisburg Dourges Shuttle, which has already been running since 1 September, Contargo will be able to avoid up to 1,500 truck journeys per month on these routes.
