In May, Contargo and Port Emmerich – Infrastruktur- und Immobiliengesellschaft mbH officially commissioned the new container crane at the Port of Emmerich. A new video now provides an impressive behind-the-scenes look at the project, from the delivery of the components to the crane’s final commissioning.
The spectacular footage documents the assembly of the nearly 40-metre-high, 350-tonne container crane in time-lapse. It shows how the individual components were delivered, precisely assembled, and gradually transformed into a high-performance handling facility – all while terminal operations continued uninterrupted.
The crane assembly was a logistical and technical achievement made possible through meticulous planning, perfect timing, exceptional precision, and the close cooperation of all parties involved.
