Applies for all terminals Koblenz up to and including Cologne (Bonn/Koblenz).
When the following low water levels are reached a surcharge (Low Water Surcharge, LWS) is made to compensate the disproportionate increases in costs, as follows.

The level taken as a basis is the level measured at 5:00 am (CET) according to the Electronic Waterways Information System (www.elwis.de).
This information appears daily on the website www.contargo.net. The decisive factor for determining the surcharge is the day of departure of the barge according to schedule.
This means- Downstream (Export): scheduled departure from the inland terminal
- Upstream (Import): scheduled departure from the seaport
The low water surcharge is only charged for full (loaded) containers.
