TOS Migration at the Euromax Terminal in Rotterdam

The Euromax (EMX) container terminal in the Port of Rotterdam is switching to a new TOS (Terminal Operating System), which will temporarily lead to operational restrictions at the terminal starting January 16, 2026.

As of Friday, 16 January 2026, at 07:00, there will initially be a gradual reduction of activities for all modalities at the EMX terminal. From Friday, 16 January at 23:00 until Monday, 19 January at 07:00, operations at the EMX terminal in Rotterdam will be completely suspended. During this period, no movements will take place, there will be no fixed windows, and all modalities will be affected. As of Monday, 19 January, a testing and evaluation phase will commence, after the successful completion of which operations are expected to be gradually resumed, initially at a reduced capacity. A stable, regular operation cannot currently be guaranteed.

During the implementation period, restrictions to our rail and barge products are to be expected that may not be operatively compensated by other means. Please contact our

Customer Service to obtain the latest possible import and export cut-off times (rail / barge) prior to the system change.

To ensure the continuity of your transports, we are reviewing alternative container terminals in the Port of Rotterdam (including ECT, RWG and APM2) with adjusted time windows and capacities. These alternatives are subject to final confirmation by the respective terminals and involved partners.

We will keep you informed of all further developments and remain at your disposal should you have any questions.
