The ongoing extreme heat, combined with additional operational challenges, continues to cause significant disruptions to handling processes at the seaport terminals in Rotterdam and Antwerp.
Rotterdam: DDE and EMX
Due to the extreme heat, truck and rail operations have been suspended today from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Rotterdam: APM 2
As a result of the heatwave and high terminal utilization, APM 2 will suspend the acceptance of empty containers arriving by inland barge, rail, and truck starting on June 29, 2026, at 7:00 a.m.
Antwerp: DP World Quay 1700
Due to staff shortages and the limited ability of inland vessels to access berths, the terminal is expected to be closed for export deliveries from Monday, June 29, 2026.
