Agricultural protests are causing traffic disruptions in the Port of Antwerp. Approximately 500 tractors are blocking almost all access roads around the port.
This is their way of expressing dissatisfaction with declining incomes and increasingly stringent European environmental standards, among other issues.
Traffic disruptions around the Port of Antwerp are escalating. In the Antwerp port area, traffic jams are rapidly increasing due to the actions of a delegation of farmers. The Flemish Traffic Center reports issues on six main traffic arteries.
