Due to severe bridge damage, the B 9 between Speyer Nord and Speyer Süd was closed to all traffic in both directions on Saturday, 19 September 2026. The closure will remain in place until further notice.
The closure affects the Speyer bypass between the Speyer motorway junction (A 61) in the north and the B 39 junction near Römerberg. Our Contargo Wörth-Karlsruhe and Contargo Rhein-Neckar sites in Ludwigshafen and Mannheim are affected by the closure. Detours have been put in place; however, longer journey times are to be expected.
We currently expect delays of around 15 to 45 minutes per journey. In the event of heavy traffic or additional disruptions on the alternative routes, delays may be even longer.
Despite these restrictions, we are doing everything we can to keep the impact on our customers to a minimum.
