The ongoing extreme heat is currently causing significant disruptions to handling operations at the seaport terminals in Rotterdam and Antwerp.
As a result of the high temperatures, cargo handling equipment has failed. In addition, some gates are no longer operational, and road surfaces in certain areas are showing heat-related damage.
At present, it is not yet possible to fully assess the overall impact on our services. However, in combination with previously reported disruptions and existing capacity constraints, further delays in handling operations are to be expected.
