In October, Contargo simultaneously received two prestigious awards for its sustainable activities: The Sustainable Impact Award and the Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis.
On 9 October, at the award ceremony for the Sustainable Impact Award of German weekly business news magazine WirtschaftsWoche and its partners, Contargo received third place in the category "Impact on Earth". With this award the jury honoured not only Contargo’s dedicated efforts towards sustainability, but especially the influence of these activities on the transport sector as a whole.
On 31 October there followed the announcement that Contargo will receive the German Sustainability Award Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis. The jury for this award in the Enterprises category selected Contargo as winner in the area of Mobility and Logistics in the Transport and Logistics sector. Decisive criteria were the exemplary decarbonisation strategy, together with the resulting influence on the whole sector. The official ceremony for the Enterprises Award of the Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis will take place on 23 November 2023, as a part of the 16th German Sustainability Day in Düsseldorf.
