Serious delays in truck handling in Rotterdam and Antwerp.

There is currently a huge peak in ships, which is causing serious delays in the processing of other modalities. Our trucks are waiting in long queues at the terminals, resulting in many waiting hours.

Dear customer of Contargo Road Logistics,

We would like to inform you about the serious delays we have experienced in the ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp in recent weeks.
As is well known, the seaport terminals are lagging behind due to delays in sea vessels or sea vessels that are out of schedule. This is due to the situation in the Red Sea. There is currently a huge peak in ships, which is causing serious delays in the processing of other modalities.

The collection and delivery of the large number of containers causes major problems, which means that in many cases the desired delivery date and time cannot be achieved. Our trucks are waiting in long queues at the terminals, resulting in many waiting hours. The timeslots we request are fed back with a delay of 7 to 12 hours.

The delay differs per terminal, but it has a chain reaction at all terminals throughout the seaport. As a result, our entire transport planning often gets stuck.

We understand that you, as our customer, want your container delivered as soon as possible and on the desired date and time and we will do everything we can to make this happen. However, we have no influence whatsoever on this situation in both Rotterdam and Antwerp.

Our colleagues in the planning department will keep you informed about your transport. However, we must inform you that we cannot take responsibility for any delay and that we cannot accept costs that arise as a result.

We hope for your understanding.
