In all gauges along the Middle Rhine (from Bingen to Oberwinter), the water level has already risen above High Water Mark 1. A water level above High Water Mark 2 at the Bingen gauge is possible early Saturday morning.

Maxau (stretch between Iffezheim – Germersheim) since 12.12.23, 9:30 a.m.
The following vessels are affected:
- 391998 Contargo I - Currently in the port of Karlsruhe (upstream)
- 392020 Gerard Albert II - Currently in Basel (downstream)
- 392188 Ardito I+II – at present in Ludwigshafen (port of destination; Wörth/Karlsruhe)
