Au premier janvier 2023, Contargo a repris les activités de l'entreprise néerlandaise Honkoop Barging. L’ensemble du personnel et de la direction de la société de transport fluvial sont transférés chez Contargo, ainsi que les contrats de fret et la relation avec les clients.

From January 2023 the Duisburg Intermodal Terminal (DIT) is also offering a rail connection to the North. Starting on 16 January 2023, the Duisburg Wilhelmshaven Shuttle will run between Duisburg Intermodal Terminal and Wilhelmshaven, initially with one round trip per week. In the 2nd quarter of 2023 it is planned to step up the frequency to 2 round trips weekly.

Depuis l’été 2022, Contargo a mis en service son Terminal Operating System (TOS) sur le terminal à conteneurs des Ports de Valenciennes. C’est l’un des premiers terminaux intérieurs français à être équipé d’un système informatique global pour l’automatisation de ses processus.

On 27 October, container hinterland logistics network Contargo received the Global Transition Award 2022 at a festive award ceremony. The prize, which was awarded for the first time this year, honours enterprises for their decarbonising strategies aimed at making a substantial contribution to attaining the 1.5°C target.
