Contargo Container Escaut Services SAS Improves North French Link to Asia Transports
In the second half of February, Contargo Container Escaut Services SAS (CCES) will be starting a new scheduled line linking Valenciennes with Dunkirk, meaning there will now be CCES services connecting the industrial region of Valenciennes with the seaports of Antwerp, Dunkirk and Rotterdam. Initially the new connection will be served by one barge per week.
DThe new scheduled service will sail the 143 kilometre route along the wide Dunkirk-Scheldt canal (Canal Dunkerque-Escaut) between Valenciennes and Dunkirk. Depending on the volume of demand, vessels from Contargo’s own fleet with capacities of 28 to 78 TEU will carry out the service. The sailing times are adapted to the schedules of the Asia service of CMA CGM P3 Network, Maersk and MSC.
