Zwijndrecht, January 1, 2013 - In future, Contargo will be operating its inland navigation activities under the name "Contargo Waterway Logistics". The three inland waterway enterprises Contargo BV, Rhinecontainer BV and Transbox BV merged on December 31, 2012, completing the integration process which was commenced with the complete acquisition of Rhinecontainer BV in May 2012.

Thus almost all the inland navigation activities of Contargo have been brought together within one company and integrated into the CONTARGO trimodal network. Activities in BeNeLux will continue to be marketed under the trade name of "Transbox".

This merger has further advanced the bundling of Contargo’s inland waterway activities and has streamlined the profile of the Brand "CONTARGO trimodal network". It constitutes a timely response to customers’ wishes for a unified sailing schedule.
