From January 1, 2013 new General Terms and Conditions (AGBs) will apply in all enterprises of the Contargo Group. The changes are intended to provide more transparency and clarity. Contargo has revised the AGBs in order to provide a more detailed framework for services such as repairs, maintenance and assembly work carried out on containers, swap bodies and other technical equipment used in container transport. For this purpose Contargo has included a new subsection in the General Terms and Conditions (No. 19 in the new AGBs).

Contargo has also modified the section on “Liability for Damage to Goods”. Here a complementary note has been added (under No. 30 § 3), stating that for the trans-border transportation of goods by inland navigation, the liability provisions of the Budapest Convention on the Contract for the Carriage of Goods by Inland Waterway (CMNI) apply.
