How can companies reduce their carbon footprint?

Duisburg, 22 March 2016 - Contargo’s tariff calculator IMTIS calculates the CO₂ emissions of truck, rail and barge transports

The Climate Conference in Paris resolved to keep global warming up to the year 2100 below two degrees. In order to achieve this objective, CO₂ emissions in Europe are to be reduced by 40 percent by 2030. If this is to succeed, emissions in the area of transport will also have to be substantially reduced.

Contargo offers companies an effective instrument to reduce their carbon footprint: the free tariff calculator IMTIS. IMTIS predicts the CO₂ emissions of a container transport using various transport modes. The system takes into account not only the CO₂ emissions of the transport itself, but also energy expenditure in the course of fuel production and distribution, and the energy consumption of handling at the terminal and administration.
