After storm front Eberhard the weather was calmer for a short time: the transport backlogs were mainly cleared and the terminals started operating again. Now storm front "Franz", followed by storm front "Gebhard", will be passing over central Europe, bringing bad weather with wind speeds of up to 100 km/h until the end of the week. Some seaport terminals have already suspended operations temporarily or are restricting operations.

Due to the weather situation further restrictions in the rail infrastructure and the seaports, with effects similar to the passage of the storm front over the hinterland, cannot be ruled out.
