Mannheim, 27 December 2018 – The Contargo Group has published its third Sustainability Report. The report can now be downloaded here. The idea that is central to the present edition is the change of perspective necessary to capture the whole picture of sustainability. The report has been drawn up on the basis of the internationally recognised Global Reporting Initiative (GRI Standards) and gives information about the sustainable activities of the container hinterland logistics network in the business years 2016/2017.

As well as the usual key parameters and those relevant for the sector, such as CO₂ calculations, the third Sustainability Report also includes many statements by Contargo employees from a wide range of companies and task areas within the enterprise. When compiling the Sustainability Report 2018, Contargo was assisted not only by its own employees and locations, but also by selected universities.

“The special feature of this report is that we approach the topic in great depth and provide a great deal of background information. In this way we want to make it clear to our colleagues, customers and partners why sustainability has such priority value for Contargo”, says Sandra Hollweg of Sustainable Solutions Contargo. “This aspect is so important to us that we that do considerably more than just satisfy the basic requirements.”
