Successful TÜV Audit for Energy Management System according to ISO 50001
After the colleagues at the Duisburg Intermodal Terminal GmbH, Contargo Wörth-Karlsruhe GmbH has now also successfully passed the TÜV Audit for compliance with the management standard ISO 50001 (Energy Management).
ISO 50001 is a management standard issued and published by the ISO (International Standardization Organization) in 2011. The purpose of this standard is to provide a basis for systematic energy management, in order to improve energy-related performance by creating and applying the necessary systems and processes. It is intended to promote the identification and implementation of unexploited potentials for energy efficiency, reducing energy costs, emissions of greenhouse gases (for instance CO2 emissions) and other impacts of energy consumption on the environment.
