As a part of the re-equipment of the vehicle fleet, two reach stackers (type: Gloria) with AdBlue technology have been acquired for the Neuss terminal. The vehicles have been additionally equipped with a central lubrication system and tablets for use with the Terminal Operation System (TOS).

Following instruction and training, the reach stackers went into operation as planned on 01.01.2016.

AdBlue is an aqueous urea solution which cuts the amount of nitrogen oxide in the exhaust gas from diesel engines by 90 percent. Another advantage of AdBlue technology is the decrease in fuel consumption, which may be as much as five percent.

By switching all reach stackers and container stackers to AdBlue, Contargo Neuss is making a significant contribution to the reduction of climate-damaging emissions.
