Rising water levels are forecast

19.11.2015 – Now that the weather forecasts predict heavy, persistent rainfall for the Upper Rhine Valley and Lake Constance today and over the next few days, we can expect water levels in the Rhine to rise rapidly, and at the beginning of the week levels may even return to normal, passing the 200 cm mark at the Kaub gauge. When the gauge level reaches 150 cm and over, low water surcharges will be discontinued.

Similarly to the Upper and Middle Rhine, we expect water levels to normalise on the Lower Rhine over the weekend (http://tinyurl.com/jw664rc), in which case here, too, from the beginning of next week low water surcharges would no longer apply.

We hope that this development will continue beyond the coming days, and we will keep you informed on our Website.
