UPDATE: Low water supplement: Kaub gauge below 61 cm
28.10.2015 – Unfortunately the forecast for water levels offers no prospect of positive development in the short term:
The water levels on the Rhine are continuing to fall. The level at the Kaub gauge is expected to fall to below 60 cm in the next few days.
The measurement taken as a basis is the level at 5:00 am (CET) according to the "Elektronischem Wasserstraßen Informationssystem" www.elwis.de. This information is also published daily on our Website.
The basis for charging the supplement is the barge’s day of departure according to schedule
Export: at the inland terminal / Import: in the seaport
The low water supplement is only charged for full (i.e. loaded) containers.

This regulation applies until revoked.
By way of precaution, we also need to inform you that if the Kaub Gauge falls below 61 centimetres
- We cannot give a guarantee of transport, since there are some barges in our fleet which for nautical reasons are unable to navigate the Middle Rhine safely when the Kaub Gauge falls below 60 cm
- We will only be able to accept bookings on the basis of these supplements.
We apologise for any inconvenience this necessary business measure may cause and would ask you to pass on this information to all employees at your company who are affected.
We would ask you to maintain close contact with the operational agencies at the inland terminals.
Your usual contact partners will be happy to assist you with any further questions you may have.
