The two low pressure systems at the weekend - Elon und Felix – have led to problems in the ports of Hamburg and Bremerhaven, some of them substantial; terminals had temporarily stopped work.

The weather situation also caused renewed closure of lines and further hindrances and delays, and tailbacks in goods transport.

In the meantime the situation has basically improved. However, it will take several more days to clear the backlog.
