transport logistic 2013: Contargo networks with the Port of Rotterdam

Munich Contargo is participating with twelve terminals in InlandLinks, an Online Platform which is an initiative of the Port of Rotterdam. On 5 June Heinrich Kerstgens and Thomas Löffler, both Managing Directors of Contargo, and Hans Smits, CEO Port of Rotterdam, signed the declaration of participation at the transport logistic 2013 in Munich. Participation entitles Contargo to the certification of its sites and their inclusion in the InlandLinks website.

The Contargo terminals participating in InlandLinks will be Basel, Frankfurt-Ost, Frankfurt Höchst, Germersheim, Gustavsburg, Karlsruhe, Ludwigshafen, Mannheim, Prouvy, Koblenz and Wörth. Together with the terminal in Emmerich, which has already been included in the initiative as of January this year, 12 Contargo-Terminals with connections to the Port of Rotterdam will have qualified for participation in InlandLinks. This means that these terminals will be listed on the website of InlandLinks and can be presented, together with other intermodal container terminals in the hinterland of the Port of Rotterdam, according to unified criteria. The following quality criteria are examined once a year: connection to the Port of Rotterdam, including transit times; services; safety and security; customs service; and information and communication technology.
