Climate Workshop for trainees
From 20 to 22 September 2021, Contargo invited apprentices (“Azubis”) and Dual Studies students for the second time to attend a KlimAzubi Workshop in Mannheim and Heidelberg. The aim of the workshop, which is held in cooperation with the teacher training institute Pädagogische Hochschule Heidelberg, is to introduce young people to sustainability topics in their professional field, and make them into multipliers for these topics.
This year, ten apprentices and students on Dual Studies courses from six different Contargo locations took part in the KlimAzubi Workshop. Among other activities, the programme included speed-chatting with four Contargo experts on the topics of low water, high water, storms and sustainability. A tour of a container terminal, as well as an excursion to the Mausbach stream and the Neckar river to investigate inland waterway structures, provided practical demonstrations of the potential influences of climate change on combined transport.
