Double premiere: Contargo Rhein-Waal-Lippe celebrates connection to the New Silk Road
With the arrival of the first “China Train” in Emmerich on 17 August, Contargo Rhein-Waal-Lippe celebrated its connection to the New Silk Road. The train, which was consolidated in the Polish rail terminal of Malaszewicze, transported 42 x 40 foot containers from the Chinese regions of Suzhou, Dongguan and Changsha to the Lower Rhine after a journey of 20 days. The Emmelsum terminal was also able to celebrate the arrival of its first train from China in the same night.
