Update: High Water on the Rhine

The situation on the Rhine is improving gradually. In the coming weekend we expect water levels to go down to a point where navigation can at least be partially resumed.
We do not expect the final go-ahead for all gauges on the Rhine before 9/10 February 2021. As soon as there is a clearer indication of when all the affected stretches of the Rhine will be open, we will load the barges that are standing by for export, so that they can deliver the containers to the seaports as soon as possible. We are also keeping the barges with import containers in readiness just in front of the closed gauges, so that they can deliver as promptly as possible once they are re-opened.
