For the first time at the end of May, Contargo North France transported twelve reefer containers by barge from Rotterdam to the terminal in Valenciennes. The 40-foot containers were carrying frozen fish from Iceland which was on its way to Boulogne-sur-Mer. This transport and two other deliveries at the beginning of June mark the beginning of regular reefer transports for the shipping company Eimskip. Now that construction work at the Valenciennes terminal is completed, 28 reefer connections are available there for Eimskip, ensuring the continuity of the cold chain for the deep-frozen products.
