Inland Waterway Experts Visit Wörth

Yesterday the Technical Committee for Waterways and Ports of the the Association for European Inland Navigation and Waterways visited the Wörth Terminal of Contargo Wörth-Karlsruhe  GmbH.

The Association for European Inland Navigation and Waterways (VBW, Verein für europäische Binnenschiffahrt und Wasserstraßen e.V.) has been in existence for 140 years. The non-profit organisation promotes multimodal transport involving inland waterways/vessels/ports.

“Good examples of multimodal transport are very important for our regular dialogue and exchange of experience with associations, administrative bodies and international organisations”, one participant emphasised. “They enable us to tackle concrete problems and tasks from a practical viewpoint.”
