For this purpose Contargo operates a network of hinterland terminals and scheduled transport lines along the Rhine and its important tributaries and canals, right up to Switzerland. The western seaports of Amsterdam, Antwerp, Rotterdam and Zeebrügge are the most important interfaces for the import and export of containers, and the hinterland lines of Contargo’s multimodal network mainly converge on these ports, but also include the northern ports of Hamburg, Bremen and Bremerhaven; the terminals of Prouvy, Dourges and Béthune in western France are also integrated into the container logistics network.

This trimodal network of terminals and transport lines makes us the leading partner for sea carriers, forwarders and shippers along the intermodal logistics chain. Contargo organizes transports (one way and round trip), offers a full range of depot facilities, and is the right partner for empty repositioning and special services. Many of our terminals integrate inland barge and rail, acting as trimodal hubs. With efficient IT, transparently organized processes and the highest quality standards, we are really there for our customers.
